MISSION TACO JOINT brings West Coast inspired Mexican food to the Central West End. Their gorgeous décor is made from reclaimed wood, including their tables! Food is repurposed as well – the ends of limes are used as flaming croutons for their famous flaming Zombie mixed drink.

All of Mission Taco’s locations made a splash in 2018 by moving to a straws-on-request-only policy, transitioning to compostable straws for when customers ask for them, and only serving water on request! This has dramatically reduced their single-use plastic waste and reduced water waste, since an average of 6 oz. of water is wasted per customer when water is automatically served.

Mission Taco Joint in the Central West End works to improve energy efficiency with insulated ductwork for their HVAC system, shades, and a curtain around the front door during the colder months! This is important, because in St. Louis, buildings account for 77% of our city’s greenhouse gas emissions.

Mission Taco Joint’s drink selections always feature local breweries, including 4 Hands, Civil Life, and Second Shift. They offer a menu for vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free customers – everyone can enjoy a meal at Mission!
