Wasabi Sushi Bar in the Cortex District is your sustainable destination for sushi and seafood. One of Cortex’s first GDA certified restaurants features EV charging stations, Energy Star kitchen appliances, full LED implementation, brand new energy efficient HVAC systems, and a white roof.

Wasabi sources some of its products through Fortune Fish who sources a lot of seafood through Marine Stewardship Council, and the menu features several vegetarian and vegan options. You can find several local beers on tap, spirits, wine, or enjoy house infused sake. They offer Bigelow Green Tea which is B Corp Certified and for any straw requests they offer paper straws.

Wasabi Cortex has implemented several staff inspired sustainable practices such as the reuse of seaweed containers which can be found all over the BOH (back-of-house) operations serving various functions.  When picking up to-go orders the staff will ask you if you want cutlery upon arrival.

Check out the nearby bioswales, which help mitigate storm water runoff and prevent flooding, across the street in the Cortex Commons public space.
