The Social Affair catering company is located in The Dogwood restaurant in The Grove neighborhood, our fourth Green Dining District in St. Louis! Founder, Kelly Spencer, has created a boutique catering company with a fine eye for combining sustainability and esthetics for memorable experiences. Upon entering, your eyes are drawn to the visual beauty of the locally crafted wooden staircase that spirals upward to the loft event space above the main dining area.

The build out of the Dogwood space utilizes original steel beams, marble counters from her own home kitchen, high efficiency appliances, and LED bulbs in all fixtures, as well as thermal window glazing and doors for better climate control. The upstairs takes advantage of natural lighting and everything is partitioned so they can adjust lighting and HVAC based on occupancy needs.

With a commitment to local sourcing, some of their favorite local farms and distributors include EarthDance Farms, Stuckmeyer’s Farm, Marcoot Jersey Creamery, Volpi, Salume Beddu, G&W Sausage, Eat Here St. Louis, and Fox River Dairy – just to name a few!
