Coffeestamp – Wash U
GDA Rating:

Coffeestamp at Wash U Campus is a community-focused coffee shop located on Wash U’s campus. Started by brothers Patrick and Spencer Clapp, Coffeestamp stands out for its commitment to quality and sustainability. They source most coffee beans directly from farmers in Latin America, specifically from Honduras, where Patrick and Spencer have family connections. By maintaining relationships with small, family-owned farms, Coffeestamp ensures fair trade practices, contributing to the economic well-being of the farmers and their communities.

Beyond their high-quality, ethically sourced coffee, Coffeestamp’s in-house roasting ensures that each cup served is fresh and rich in flavor. The cafe prides itself on creating a welcoming atmosphere for the neighborhood and giving directly to community members who face food insecurity. Besides coffee, they offer delicious house-made pastries and empanadas featuring locally grown ingredients whenever possible.

Coffeestamp’s emphasis on sustainability extends beyond their coffee sourcing. The shop actively engages in environmentally friendly practices, such as minimizing waste and using compostable packaging whenever possible. Sign up for their subscription program to get their freshly roasted coffee on the regular. Also check out their St. Louis city location. We’re proud to welcome them as new members of the Green Dining Alliance!
