Earth month has arrived!

What a fantastically fun Earth Day experience in Forest Park!

A warm and heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers who contributed time, energy, and enthusiasm – and a great BIG thanks to all you participants who joined in on one of the most successful St. Louis Earth Day Festivals on record.  The list wouldn’t be complete without a bright and happy thanks to Mother Nature for providing sunshine…what great weather!

Several of our GDA Certified Restaurants were at Earth Day Fest at Forest Park on Sunday, April 21st: Lulu’s Local Eatery, Pi, Schlafly, and  Urban Eats Cafe.  Also there: Atomic Cowboy, Local Harvest Cafe, and Whisk: A Sustainable Bakery, all of whom just recently underwent our audit pocedure.

But, the fun has not been limited to Forest Park!  The GDA has been, and will continue to make its appearance all around the St. Louis region during Earth Month.  Our very own GDA Certified Restaurant, The Wolf Public House, was a part of the Parkway School District’s Earth Day fun on Sat, April 20th!   And the GDA will have a booth at the Kirkwood Living Green 4th Earth Day at the Market on Sat,  April 27th. We’ll also be wrapping the month up by leading a discussion about “Mindful Restaurant Dining” as an invited participant of the Franciscan Sister’s “Making a Mindful May” event on April 30th.
