THE POST SPORTS BAR & GRILL is a surprising and valuable addition to Maplewood’s Green Dining District, proving that sports bars can significantly improve their environmental impact, especially when it comes to energy efficiency.

Energy efficiency is important to The Post. They have installed all LED lights in the dining area and kitchen, use energy-efficient hand dryers in their bathrooms, and use Energy Star rated, super-efficient kitchen equipment (which is maintained monthly to improve performance and efficiency), helping to reduce their overall carbon footprint while saving money on their energy bill! They were able to save money while purchasing their LED lights and equipment through an inventive program from Ameren. One that you can (and should!) take advantage of as well.

They save all of their batteries to take to recycling centers, keeping dangerous materials out of the landfill. The Post has moved to bulk ketchup containers, reducing plastic waste, and they use scales to portion their meals to prevent food waste.
