Take Me Here Using Metro Transit

Maypop Coffee & Garden Shop is a lovely little destination in Webster Groves where you can sip sustainably-grown coffee and tea, taste local baked goods, then browse their beautiful garden center and greenhouse.

They offer a friendly, lively and warm atmosphere where you can enjoy high quality local pastries from bakeshops like SweetArt, Knead, Late Bloomer Bakery, Britt’s Bakehouse’s (gluten free) and Ez Treats. The cozy dining area features found and vintage objects, warm natural wood tones and hardwood floors, a beautiful fireplace and even a table made from a 300 year old oak tree that fell in Webster Groves. Diners are surrounded by painted murals, lush greenery and natural lighting.

Their garden includes a carefully curated selection of plants, gardening supplies and natural landscaping solutions. All of the garden boxes around the shop have a purpose, and you’ll be surrounded by beautiful Maypops blooming in the summer. Looking for a pet-safe indoor plant? No fear, because they also cater to pet parents with their Pet-Safe plant section. Gardener Grace is happy to answer any questions.

Maypop is more than just a coffee shop and garden center. They are very active in the community, with four vendor markets each year that showcase over 60 small businesses. They take “Shop Local” seriously. Owner Tammy does her best to encourage their suppliers to use sustainable packaging and rotates the menu seasonally. Maypop’s cheerful and engaged staff reflect Maypop’s ethics and commitment to the community. Have a question about your houseplants or want to do sustainable landscaping? The knowledgeable staff (and their Instagram tips) can help. Look out for their refillable mug program – coming soon!
