Reach environmentally-conscious consumers
Sponsoring the GDA will connect you with your target demographic through our website, social network, and special events. We can help you:
- Promote your brand, products, and services.
- Strengthen your brand’s association with environmental action, education and awareness.
- Highlight your company’s efforts to support environmental stewardship.
Market your product or service to restaurants
Becoming a sponsor of the GDA is a great way to support a good cause while promoting your company’s products and services. GDA restaurants can’t go green on their own – they need good sources for local foods, organic ingredients, energy efficient equipment, non-toxic cleaning supplies, and eco-friendly to-go products. They need someone to haul their recycling and compost. They need an eco-friendly laundry service to wash all of those reusable linens. Everyone benefits by connecting green restaurants with green service providers.
Support a locally-derived sustainability initiative of a respected nonprofit organization
St. Louis Earth Day developed the Green Dining Alliance program in response to a need we saw in our community. We work with many St. Louis restaurants through our Earth Day Festival Café and at events via our Recycling On the Go (ROG) program. It became clear that restaurant owners desired guidance on how to ‘go green’ in an efficient, cost-effective manner. Seeing how effective ROG could be for waste diversion and dissemination of sustainability resources, the Green Dining Alliance was developed to tackle the food service industry’s needs year-round, expanding St. Louis Earth Day’s reach beyond ROG’s events and furthering our mission to “make Earth Day every day.”
Foster a vibrant community and local economy by supporting independent businesses
Investing in sustainability can be challenging; we believe that the weight of a changing industry shouldn’t have to fall on the shoulders of individual small business owners. Your company’s contributions can subsidize our membership fees, keeping them affordable for all interested restaurants. Our program’s outreach effort will connect diners with restaurants that match their values and encourage diners to “buycott” – spend their money at places that demonstrate sustainable practices.
