BUYcott to Support Local Harvest Café

Join us in supporting Local Harvest Cafe by patronizing either of their locations on Monday, February 3rd. Enjoy a GDA-certified experience 10am-2pm at their Downtown location (815 Olive St #150, St Louis, MO 63101) or 8am-8pm at their Tower Grove South location (3137 Morganford Rd, St Louis, MO 63116). Earlier this week they called on the community for support to boost them through a challenging time, and this is just one way you can help.

Local Harvest Cafe & Grocery locations are neighborhood anchors which support local producers and the St. Louis sustainability movement in a very big way. They also organize the Tower Grove Farmers Market, which is the most popular seasonal market in the city. Read more about the BUYcott concept.

There are many ways you can support Local Harvest:

1) Check out their IndieGoGo campaign: www.indiegogo.com/projects/save-local-harvest

2) On Friday, January 31, 4 Hands Brewing will donate $2 from every beer purchased to Local Harvest, from 12pm to 12am. In addition, The Jungle Fire, a band in which some Local Harvest employees play, will be putting on a free show in the 4 Hands tasting room starting at 8:30pm. Local Harvest will be on the premises from 7pm to 10pm selling gift certificates and cafe punch cards.

3) On Saturday, February 1, from 1pm to 3pm in their grocery store on Morganford, St Louis author, Curtis Sittenfeld (bestseller “Prep” and others), will be selling and signing her book “Sisterland” (set in St Louis). She will be giving the money from the sales to the Save Local Harvest campaign! You can also bring in your Curtis Sittenfeld books for signing.

4) Also Saturday, February 1 at Lemmons on Gravois, a group of local bands including Catholic Guilt, Rum Drum Ramblers, Maximum Effort, and Black Panties, are playing a show, “We Love Local Harvest” and giving the door covers to Local Harvest. Find more details via the Facebook event.
