As the Green Dining Alliance enters a new phase of development – leaving the pilot stage behind, hiring a full-time staff member, upping our grassroots focus and certifying even more tasty eateries – we’re excited to announce GDA Member Perks!
Now members of the Green Dining Alliance can receive discounts for products and services that help them stay sustainable!
Having built program benefits for our member restaurants, like reduced booth fees at the St. Louis Earth Day Festival and as featured destinations for monthly dine-outs – the GDA is now partnering with business in the community to make greening more affordable. Our GDA Member Perks page now features discounts and incentives from 6 local companies, with products and services ranging from free compost hauling and discounted advertisements, to energy audits.
Our latest addition to our perks page is an extensive online catalog from Office Essentials Inc., a business supply company located just North of Fogerty Park. Office Essentials has compiled a list of all of their green products, including but not limited to:
Compostable cutlery, to-go cups, and lids; to-go clam shell containers made from sugarcane; non-toxic, naturally-derived cleaning products and green wipes; and light-weight trash bags, so restaurants can cut back on the amount of waste used to throw out their trash or recycling.
We’ve also partnered with our sponsors Blue Skies Recycling and Sauce Magazine, as well as leading green companies in St. Louis such as Butterfly Energy Works, Healthy Planet Magazine and St. Louis Green. Bringing sustainably-minded organizations, businesses and individuals together is a key way that the Green Dining Alliance strengthens and invigorates St. Louis’ collaborative green culture. Our GDA Member restaurants can look forward to incentives that allow them to make the sustainable changes they previously felt were out of reach.
If you have a local company to suggest for these incentive partnerships, please contact info@greendiningalliance.org.
